The award was presented by Hilary Lissenden (UEL-Assistant Chief Operating Officer), to Black Arrows founder and Chairman Henry T. Gaspard, who was visibly taken back when the announcement was made.
Henry stated, “I was completely surprised by the announcement, because it was so unexpected, but the award reflects the strong partnership between UEL and Black Arrows for Badminton Development, and the commitment of our Coaches and volunteers who deliver our club session and coaching to the UEL team players. Special mention to our UEL team coaches, Mark Yip and Shirley Louis-Onyebuashi for their dedication and professionalism in inspiring UEL team players to achieve their best.”
