Back by popular demand!

15 sports return to the #DSCSummerFestival 2017

We might have exciting new sports coming to the Summer Festival this year but some sports are just so great, we wanted to bring them back!

Following on from the feedback from last year’s Summer Festival it was clear you loved the sports on offer, therefore we wanted to bring back some of our old favourites.

Returning sports include: Football (Arsenal in the Community), Dance (Wheelchair Dance), Cycling (Bikeworks), Cricket (Surrey Cricket & Middlesex Cricket), Athletics (Team Personal Best), Golf (The Golf Trust), Hockey (Forest Flyers), Badminton (Black Arrows), Mixed Marital Arts (Mixed Martial Arts for Reform & Progression), Squash (England Squash), Tennis (The Tennis Foundation), and Basketball (SafeHaven Basketball).

Hannah Dobbin, Forest Flyers said: “We
jumped at the chance to be involved with DSC’s
Summer Festival having been part of it last year.
Seeing so many people enjoying the chance to try
such a range of activities including hockey was
amazing. It just shows how inclusive sport can be.”

Maya Kumagji-Jones, bikeworks said:
“We’re pleased to have been invited back as last
year our All Ability bikes were really popular and
participating in this event helped spread the word
about our service.”
