Black Arrows Badminton Club brought Badminton to Central Park on Friday 6th April as part of the ParkLives in Newham programme. Newham council in partnership with Coco-Cola Great Britain, is delivering another fantastic programme of activities for all ages to enjoy. The theme for this year’s Easter programme is the fantastic Commonwealth Games. Residents are encouraged to take part in fun themed activities such as: netball, cycling, badminton, rugby, volleyball, basketball, sumo wrestling, boxing, athletics, table tennis and tennis. Due to popularity horse and pony rides are also included in this programme.

A slightly windy day on Friday at Central Park, made playing outdoor Badminton all the more fun and interesting. The 2 hour session 12-2pm was hugely popular with over 50 adults and children taking part. Black Arrows coaches gave out fliers promoting their club sessions in Newham, at East Ham Leisure center, and at the University of East London.

The ParkLives Easter Programme runs in a local Newham park from Tuesday 3 April – Friday 13 April 2018, with a different activity in a different park each day. For more information call 0800 227 711 or visit http://www.parklives.com
